Damon Soule

It turns out that not only is two-time DMC champ DJ Qbert the archetypal turntablist of this galaxy (and beyond?) but he is also a scholar and a cultured, compassionate gentleman. Somehow, between starting his own online DJ academy and playing benefit shows in the Philippines, he has found the time to launch a new gallery space at home here in the Bay Area:

“Our private gallery is based on a devotion to urban street art, sculpture and model figurines while showcasing DJ collectibles, custom equipment and rare vinyl records. The [invitation only] opening reception for our new space will present works from artist Mars-1, Damon Soule, Jesse Hernandez, Downtimer and Jay 222 on Friday, January 29th, 2010.”
