Bangkok by way of The Clonious

During my trip to SE Asia, the one album I kept getting wrapped into was “Between the Dots” by The Clonious, aka Paul Movahedi. According to his PR release, the 23 year old Austrian strikes a “blend of bouncy cosmic vibes and glitchy shoegazer funk”… sounds pretty adventurous, right? That made it perfect for exploring Bangkok’s interweaving landscape of uber-modern transit lines and spotless shopping centers contrasted by old claustrophobic alley markets and dirty canals. Like the city, the album combines both the dusty past with the techno-centric future, melding the best of the cutting edge with a quaint heartfelt spirit of bygone days.

“These tracks are little adventures that just want to say hello,” says Movahedi.

Well, allow me to make the introduction…
